An annoying word at the best of times especially when they come from the “Bloody Things” but when they’re coming from an unknown creature inside a mosquito net, it is almost enough to drive a man insane.
The noise is a nuisance in itself but the fact that its coming from inside a net designed to keep things that go Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz from getting inside it is craziness.
After several hours, intermixed with some reading and iPod, the mysterious beast appeared but only having a headtorch on meant that it swooped past disappearing into the gloom of either the front or back and the number of little hidey holes in the van.
After more agonising minutes when the Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz stopped, it reappeared to be greeted by an armed and dangerous occupant with death in mind – me! Finally luring the creature out from the depths a few strong swipes of a book and a few disturbing thumps on the roof and my nemesis had been conquered, or rather squashed. I’m not sure what it was but it was an unpleasant sight and its conquest of the mossy net prompted a full scale inspection the following morning.
The Gaffa tape came out and became “Mossy Net Repair Tool” although after several attempts soon realised that it needed to be double layered! I must do a “101 Uses For Gaffa Tape” post..watch this space!
