Planning Complete

The Tim & Amber homeless roadshow has come to an end. We've stayed with Mum Corke, Amber's sister Katrina and Dad Thorne this week and struggled with getting everything we needed into the back of the car. It's been a funny old week not knowing whether we're coming or going with a rather worrying statement from Amber, "I'm glad this living out of a rucksack has come to an end"!!! We also wished Heather and Freya a happy year at 83.

Mum's suprise 50th party went without a hitch and we're both delighted with the turnout - over 60 people from all aspects of Mum's 50 years came to celebrate. More to follow:

The goodbyes came thick and fast. Some very emotional and others a slap on the back and "see you in 12 months" kind of way. It's been nice to see everyone and hear the best wishes although we're still a little blase about it. I suppose until we land in Singapore it won't have sunk in.

We've had a lovely week celebrating with Amber's family and Gemma & Jayden for high tea in Brockenhurst,

looking after Grace,
having dinner with Ralph & Donna at a cabaret night in Southbourne, a nice relaxing afternoon with Mum at Hengistbury Head followed by a birthday meal with family in Lychett at St Peter's Finger and..

had dinner with Dad Thorne, Becky and Katrina in Alum Chine and of course sneaked back into the RNLI to say a final cheerio to everyone there.

The final bits and pieces for the adventure were purchased with a travel towel, sleeping bag liner, Werthers for the flight, batteries and Amber's sunglasses. The final weight count was in Amber's favour with her bag weighing 15kg and mine nearer 17kg. The bags are packed and the identifiying bits added on for good measure so we'll wait until 5.30am tomorrow for the adventure to begin.

Emotional Week

This week has been a strange and emotional week. We've camped in Wareham and experienced....

Shyness,
Shyness
Melancholy,
Melancholy
Happiness and
Happiness
Delight.
Delight

...Tim has fundraised in London, and we've left the RNLI and Paris Lettings in Poole & Bournemouth where we experienced..

Sadness
Sadness
Relief, but also...
Relief
Sentimentality.
Sentimentality
After some embarrasing misccommunication about the themed party, Uneasiness crept in but was followed by...
Uneasiness
Tenderness
Tenderness
and Euphoria about not only the trip but the eclectic music selection.
Euphoria

We'd like to thank everyone who has helped in whatever way this week but especially Sarah PP for organising the biggest farewell card known to man and the public embarrassment of photos around Slipway, Ralph for the coffee and cakes on Friday and most of all Mum and Becky for their sterling job helping to clean, sort and tidy the flat.

The best wishes, cards and presents were much appreciated and we look forward to keeping you all updated.
