Powered vs unpowered

Although there’s an abundance of free rest areas in WA, it’s sometimes required to stay in caravan parks. Refilling water, recharging both our batteries and the camera batteries, hot shower, laundry etc. They become home from home.

What is a pain and perhaps any caravan park readers out there (!!!) might be able to help, but why, why, why do powered sites, usually taken up by large caravans and motorhomes that have their own toilets, showers, power (!) always get located near to the toilets, showers and lights, when the unpowered sites, usually taken up by tents, small campers etc that don’t have any of that, get put the furthest away?

Usually, the pitches are also very different. Nice, landscaped sites perhaps with either tarmac or grass pitches are provided for the powered pitches who again are normally inside their vehicle, whereas the gravel, untreated ground gets left for the unpowered who tend to be outside?

Grrrrr…rant over!
