Before our departure down under, I'd been told of the legend of "TimTam". These magical bars could be found in many different flavours. I was intrigued. My quest had begun!
The first bar to be found was 'Double Coat' quickly followed by 'Dark'. These bars were presented to us as a pudding at Jan and Paul's in Brisbane. The legend of these bars was indeed true but the quest had not finished. Were there more of these little gems....?
Oh yes - we tried a local supermarket to see if they could be found hiding in the shelves. My eyes lit up - there was row upon row of these heavenly bites, and better still lots of different flavours.
Tim and I have since tried the 'Black Forest Gateau' and 'Chewy Caramel'. We love them all but 'Double Coat' is especially yummy and scrummy, but later discovered they harbour 480 calories... per bar. Oops! Tim’s favourite is the “Black Forest Gateau” but it’s better after being in the fridge for a little while.
The quest will continue for more delightful flavours…watch this space…
